Course description

Medical PG, also referred to as postgraduate medical education, is the advanced training program undertaken by doctors after completing their MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree.

It equips them with specialized knowledge and skills in a specific area of medicine or surgery.

  • MBBS Degree: You must possess a valid MBBS degree from a recognized medical college in India or abroad (with appropriate accreditation).
  • One Registration: You need to be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or a State Medical Council (SMC) to be eligible.
  • NEET PG: This is the national level entrance exam for admission to most MD/MS programs in India. It's a highly competitive exam testing your knowledge and skills across various medical subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: Universities might have minimum qualifying marks requirements in NEET PG or state-level exams for eligibility.
  • Age Limit: There might be an upper age limit for appearing in entrance exams, though this is not universally applied.
